I have 20 years of professional experience as a graphic designer and photographer working in a variety of settings such as corporate offices, small design firms, my own small business, and as a freelancer. I have worked in a variety of industries such as home and commercial building products, telecommunications, photographic products and services, and publishing. Alternately, I’ve also worked with small independent businesses specializing in jewelry design, handmade women’s accessories, and artist-designed wedding products, to name a few. I've also had extensive experience creating marketing visuals for such social media platforms as Facebook and Instagram, and maintained and created content for design and craft blogs, including my own, for 10 years.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Acrobat), Mac and PC operating systems, pen tablet (Wacom), Microsoft Office and Google Docs.

Skills include social media maintenance and blogging, proofreading, sharp attention to detail, exceptional typography/typesetting skills, photo retouching, color correction, and the Canon EOS DSLR camera system. I also have a diverse skill set with handcrafting. Those skills include: embroidery, cross-stitch, polymer clay, painting, paper craft, crochet, hand-sewing, machine sewing, needle-felting, beading, costuming, prop-making, and more. I graduated from Auburn University's nationally regarded Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design which is the only NASAD accredited Graphic Design Program in Alabama. The program emphasizes fine arts, visual/digital interface, packaging, exhibitions, magazine design, logos, and identity development.
